Radiator/heatsink thing under car what is it?

SEAT Leon TDI 130 SE 2005 On the drivers side floor section about were the drivers seat is above it. under the car theres a Radiator/heatsink alloy thing Any idea what it is and what its for? Geoff. :shrug:
