hey there,
1997 corby sx 1.6 with kent cams.
After trying everything cars still runnin a bit lumpy and the fuel consumption is getting a bit silly at times. Been to the garage today and been told i need a vernier pulley for my kent cams as they need adjusting. the garage want £148 quid...
With the impending cambelt change coming up, I was thinking of swapping the pulleys for the lightened variety!
Has anyone had any problems with these, and are they universal for all 1.8t engines?
Could any1 tell me please how much do these parts weigh as standard?
Alternator Pulley?
Crank Pulley?
Power steering pulley?
Also could any1 tell me what bhp increase i would get for going for the light weight versions.
Thanks
i just found some light weight pulleys on ebay the say there for a golf 20vt but shurely they would fit mine? and it says they gain near 10bhp is that wright or is that a big load of billy bob?
are these of any use and is there any gain really or should i just avoid them opinions please
