my2005

altea (my)2005 1.6 oil cap

Hi guys i got a 05 altea with 11500 miles on the clock...i went to fill up with oil today and when i took the oil cap off and looked at it, it was all covered in a cream coloured gunk (looked like cake mix to me)is this normal?????? popped into a VW dealer and he says it might be condensation...
