I've seen on the forum about the common problem of misty headlights and one of the cures being to drill some 3mm holes in the housing. Anyone tried this and does it work? Where do you drill the holes and is the housing double skinned or do you drill right through to behind the lense?

Hmmmm happening quite often I get in my Leon Cupra and as soon as I turn the engine on the windows and I mean EVERY flipping window steams up so I have to turn the climate control thingy on full blast and the rear window demister and open all the windows but it is a pain.....I have even bloody...

offside headlamp gets full of condensation when it rains and looks terrible. I dont want to go to the lengths of giving the stealers my hard earned for a new one so its the DIY repair solution im after.

Both of the headlights on the Cupra are now misted up and look crappy!:censored:
As apposed to paying nearly £200 for replacements its been mentioned by a few people to heat them up to break the seal in the oven then reseal them, does anyone have a "how to" on doing this...
I was having a problem with my drivers side headlight misting up for no apparant reason ie not been raining or anything!
So I bought a new one which seemed fine for about a week then, once we had those mad down pours it decided to mist up, in fact to a worse extent that the old headlight...
Just bought a 54 plate LCR and love it.
However the front light clusters always seem misted up even though I garage it!
Its not enough to cause damage but just p*sses me off to look at.
Would siliconing stop this?? Or is there another fool proof solution?
