Loosing water

Hi my dads in a bit of a pickel, wot to do, he got a 1.9 tdi 110hbp and lossing water so took it to seat and they said the head has gone plus timing belt needs doing so they told him to not bother fixing it down to cost, so i took it to good cheap garage compared to seat and they did tests and...
