Is it possible to get my revs limited on my 1.4 Leon as I can't help but thrash it to go anywhere and I know one day it's just going to say no thanks and go pop. Ideally want to limit it to 4500rpm which will save it a bit. If not I'll have to put a block of wood under the go pedal ;)

Does the 8v cupra sport have a rev limiter installed? The revs tail off sharply at 5500 rpm. just wanna make sure on here before i look like a plonker (no comments pls :p) by taking it to the garage and asking them whats wrong lol

Can the Seat Cruise Control also act as a speed limiter? I've just been driving my Dads SLK which has this feature ie you set it at 80mph, and then it won't let you exceed that speed, even if you floor it..I thought it was a really good feature especially through roadworks and to stop you...

Hi, I test drove an FR TDI at Frosts (Shoreham) a while back and one of the things the sales guy mentioned was that the leons come over with a some kind of limiter programmed as standard (revs i guess) and they remove this as part of the PDI. Does this sound right to you? Thanks, Craig

The only thing I have wrong with this car is the lack of a rev limiter, the noise of the engine even at 4500rpm is a gentle purr, and keeps asking for more!! Im worried that I may over rev and blow something. Has anyone fitted a limiter?

my 97 2.0 8v has a rev limiter at 5000 revs or it definately feels like an electronic limiter shud it have this the car is standard so im sure its not got any aftermarket bits on has something gone wrong or shud it be limited at 5k...i dont want it to be...and it stutters and missis under hard...
