hi
Im after a lightened and balance flywheel for my seat ibiza 2.0 16v abf. i cant find one anywhere, anyone got any idea's or know of anywhere that do them?
I know everyone gets he g60 flywheel for the Cupra but i have been offered a VR6 clutch and flywheel for nothing and was wandering how much i can get it lightened by as it weighs quite alot.
With the impending cambelt change coming up, I was thinking of swapping the pulleys for the lightened variety!
Has anyone had any problems with these, and are they universal for all 1.8t engines?
My clutch has just started slipping on my leon , is it worth fitting a lightened flywheel as well as an uprated clutch (sachs i believe) .
cheers , neil .
I've got a ABF flywheel ready to go on my car with the SPEC Stage 3 clutch, now i was all set on getting it lightened and skimmed as the flywheel is second hand.
My question is, would it be worth doing and whats the weight difference of the ABF single mass to the standard ibiza dual mass...
Have done a search and not really found my answers.
I suspect that my release bearing is just starting to seize up so am going to be removing the gearbox soon when it gets worse. At the same time i'm going to replace the Flywheel for a G60 flywheel and the clutch for a vr6 item as i think...
Right i've bought my new clutch which is for a G60 corrado, I need a new flywheel but i want everybodies opinion as to weather i should get a lightened one or not.
I know that this can cause the gearbox to rattle. Who's had this done and what's your advice for me?
Also what else do i need...
