After reading some of the threads about drilled airboxes, and having enjoyed the sound (but not the the heat) of my Vectra's 57i kit, I thought I'd have a go at the Toledo's box.
Removing it was easy, two screws and out it comes. After seeing where the filter came to on the lower box, I...

Ok, so as you probably know we had some proper rain in the North East this weekend, maybe not as bad as Cumbria had a few weeks ago, but still Lots of Rain. On Sunday night I was trying to get home (home is on top of the NY Moors) for a flying visit, and obviously I knew the road was wet and...

I have for a while now played down what people have said on this forum about MPG. Ive seen most people say "no matter how i drive i get barely over 100 miles to £20" so i drove like a grandad for 4 days and i got a grand total of 148 miles from 20 english pounds! I then put £10 back in the tank...

As is often the problem with heavily modified FWD cars, putting the power effectively on the tarmac (particularly on wet, potholed $h1tty British roads) can be an issue in itself. Add in a dose of wheel hop, camber, worn...

2. The car...
Today i was looking at the technical spec of the AQX and AYP engines.
The only difference is that AYP is emission spec EU2/EU3 and AQX is D4 Standard.
Also it states that AYP and AQX engines DO have variable valve timing.
I've had the front wheels off today to clean them and the brake calipers up in preperation for next weekend :)
Something i noticed as i put the car back together is that the drivers side wheel sits deeper into the arch than the passenger side.
I'm not talking lower down, more width wise...
Shamlessly grabbed from a sister forum, makes interesting reading, especially the part where he checks the remap parameters with a vag com. Gives another take on remaps.
