gaiters

Hopefully just a quick question, I have a 1999 pre facelift gti and the gaiter's on handbrake and gearstick look ripped and tatty. Seen some replacements on ebay just wondered if they were easy to replace. Also my exhaust is very rattly when accelerating anyone suffered similar problems:doh:

As i cant seem to find any used genuine ones on ebay im asking about the aftermarket ones, for instance these...

can you still buy the leather gaiters for the gearstick and handbrake and gti gear knob new or has anybody get a decent set lying around they want to part with? or...what aftermarket or other seat gear knobs fit?

on my last mot they said that i should change both my cv gaiters as they are worn , im changing my discs soon so thought i might aswell do these also. Has anyone changed theres and if so was it a big job and do you have any tips .. thanks steveo
