G12 Coolant - temp light flashy thing

Got in the car last night when I got kicked out the pub. Started it up and the red light by the temp gauge stays on and flashes with some beeps... after about 5 mins fcuking about in the dark looking for user manual and stuff to find out what it might be I found that the coolant reservoir...
