Extinguishing Airbag Light?

Took my seats out at the weekend which meant unplugging the airbag connectors, after fitting the seats back in i'm left with my airbag light on. I've taken the seats out plenty of times before and the light has always gone out afterwards. Will disconnecting the battery for a period of time...
