Hi guys, hope all is well! I have a 2014 FR, 1.4 TSI, 150hp, CZEA engine. Just had the gearbox reconditioned due to the rivets breaking off the diff and the crown gear being cracked. Will be changing the clutch and flywheel while I have the box off. Should I stick with dual mass or swap over to...
As the title says, dual mass or a single mass flywheel?
just your opinions on the matter?
which would you guy and girls go for?
Cupra Tdi 54reg and upgrading with a sachs performance clutch.
is £250 delivered a decent price for a sachs dual mass flywheel?
going to get an up rated clutch on and from what i can see ill need a new flywheel due to it being bedded in with the old clutch disk , not going for a solid one as the cars a daily and dont want it vibrating like mad.
is...
Just taken the box out of my Altea 2.0 TDI & I'm pretty sure the DMF is phucked! It seems to have end float, ie, you can seperate the two parts slightly - I don't think this should be happening!! So, suggestions for the best place (price) to get a replacement.
Cheers.
When I first got my Leon FR, pressing the right hand temperature control would adjust both sides of the car. Now, it only does the driver side. Is this a setting that has changed? Am I doing something silly? How do I adjust both sides with one press?
OK was ringing around today for prices on clutch/flywheel replacement and asked the guy is GSF if they do a SMF for the car. He advised against it saying it will rip the new clutch to shreds as the DMF has a shock absorbing facilty?
Once again I am after the advice of the knowledgeable folk? :)
Any differences between the standard Dual Port and Kompact Dual Port other than the size? I'm gonna give a 50/50 a go and fancy one of the Dual Port's over the Split-R.
Cheers

hi, just registered on site!....had my toledo for around a month and getting a bit annoyed with dual climate control, having to operate both sides individually. Does anyone know if there are any settings which enable you to operate them both by the drivers side??
Hi Guys,
I know a chap who has got a Octavia VRS. He's had it remapped to 225bhp.
When he did this the standard clutch gave up, instead of having the OEM or uprated Dual mass clutch, he's running a single mass.
He says the only differences are that the clutch is a bit jerky...
Hi
Can anyone tell me which buttons are meant to illuminate yellow when they are pressed on the dual climate control unit.
The Screen blower and rear screen heater currently do, is the recirculate button supposed to as well? It does on a Golf
I recently had my Ibiza pd130 re-mapped, running stage 1 at 175bhp and 280lbs torque. This killed the standard clutch, so I had a new up-rated clutch and standard DMF fitted.
After doing 60 miles I noticed the car was juddering when setting off, only very slightly but noticeable. It...
