I've got a Cupra 280 and I need some new brakes.
I was thinking of getting some DS2500 pads but i'm unsure if I should marry it up with the oem discs or something more heat resistant.
I live in the city and don't take it on track but I DRIVE my car and like it to have good stopping power...
who is the cheapest suplier of EBC ultimax discs all round and DS2500 pads? bill comes up at around 530 all in, i can get the disc cheaper off motorsportworld.co.uk but they dont supply the DS2500's for the front :( im talking about the LCR 225 btw :)
Right I'm about to change my brakes. I can't stand the redstuff pads anymore. Dangerous would be a good description. Any way DS2500 seems to be be the best bet, however so far I've found 2 part numbers. Can anyone let me know which one is correct.
one is FCP590H the other is FCP1094H...
Hiya all
Fitted so new ds2500 pads and some discs from badger about 2 weeks back and there just not feeling that great, no where near as good as i would have expected and have done just over 300m on them, did the bedding in procedure and warm them up but still no massive improvement on old...
A friend of mine put me in touch with a guy who is doing ds2500 pads for a good price. I'm double checking that they're the right ones for the LCR's Brembos and he says that they're the same as the Mk1 Focus RS. Can anyone confirm this for me before I part with the cash?
Cheers
Hi all,
I have recently fitted new grooved front discs and Ferrado DS2500 pads to my 2005 LCR as I was not happy with the original Brembos. DS2500s fitted mostly due to rave reviews on this site.
They have now been on for 200 miles and I am so far not impressed. They do not have the low...
Can't find the answer to this question.... probably a stupid one but I'm not clued up with the mechanical side of cars...

In time I'll probs upgrade the discs too but can't afford to right now and need new pads!
I've got my car booked into a mates garage next week, and have given him a small list of things i want doing. New front pads is one of the things on the list, and i said i wanted DS2500's as i've read good reviews about them on here. He's just been on the phone saying his parts supplier says you...

Hi guys,
I just fitted my pads today but noticed that the DS babies don't come with the sensor cable which tells you your brakes are dying. Therefore I have the warning light constantly on. How has people got around this?
Thanks
Hi guys,
My brother in law needs to change the pads on the LCR (2005).
He stated that the Brembo factory discs are pretty much new (approx 5k old) but he requires just pads.
What are the best suited pads on the LCR's for day to day driving that give good performance and a long life...

Hi
Just doing some research (again) into brakes and pads this time. The DS2500's keep coming up time and time again.
As a lot of people on this forum use them, are they good pads for normal driving conditions (i.e. going to work). As these are race pads, do they need some 'warming' up...
Just had my first MOT and was informed that my pads where VERY low (Outsides looked a little low, but it turned out the inside pads very indeed very low)
So i've just ordered some DS2500 pads from Badger Bill and was wondering how the pad performs in a everyday application. I know there a...
