bumper or diffuser

I was wondering if anyone has modded their rear bumper diffuser, the blacky grey bit where the number plate goes. I would like it to be more piano black like the side pillars and door mirrors. Can this be achieved by wrapping with vinyl or spraying with gloss black paint? I woukd love...
