break

Trying to replace rear discs and pads, have taken old ones out got the new disc on but cant get the piston back far enought to get the pads in, something not right what am i doing wrong. Car in back yard in bits would apreciate a fast response if possible. Thanks.

Hi all. Has anyone got/noticed this problem? On my Leon FR the break lights dont light up whilst breaking until about half way down on the peadle. So i can be breaking slightly/slowly without my lights coming on. I have not noticed this on any other car and am worried someone will not see...

I am having the soft break pedal feeling at the moment on my fr. Every thing seems ok, pads and fluids are all ok . As the car has only done 17k ,this seems to be a bit strange. Has anybody else sufferd with this problem? :confused: :confused: .

It was noticed last night by a mate who was standing by my drivers door that at some point it appears my car was either broken into or had an attempted break in....the damage repair isnt up to much!!!! And it shows how well i checked the car over when i bought it!!!! cos now its been pointed...

Can anyone help? I have a mk3 cupra standard apart from a ram-air and gauges. Under full acceleration the violently stutters and hesitates about 2 1/2 3k revs. but doesn't happen if slowly up revs as bad. Ticks over funny as well! What could this be and much will it set me back...

ive just changed the front pads on my cupra r to ebc red stuff. because they dont have sensors the brake light indicator is staying on in the dash. is there any way of switching it off anyway? a fuse or something?

hey peps, had a 10k service and they pointed out one of the lights in the high level break light has gone, any one know if it's simple to replace is it one light or the whole unit. Shall i end up replacing it with them and hoping it doesn't leak or water doesn't get it.
