Pioneer AVH-P5700DVD Installation

I'm after a bit of advise about installing this unit. There is a cable that needs to be connected to the handbrake switch so that the screen will activate whilst watching movies only when the handbrake is on. I want to bypass this so that a movie can be played without the handbrake being on...
