airbox

Hi guys, ive recently bought a cold air intake system that i want to fit myself, but i have no instructions to help with the process, so basically how the f**k do i remove the standard system. Cheers

New here. Does anyone know where I can find a standard air box for my 1.8t? I feel I would rather have a standard box with cold air feed and decent panel filter rather than the Cheap filter the previous owner put on. Thanks in advance, mike.

Hi, have read a bit on the smoothing airbox mod. Is this beneficial to a diesel engine like mine? Does it give a better sound from the turbo etc etc or is it a waste of time? Any help appreciated

having just come from the world of 20vT, alot of poeple are in the habit of drilling and smoothing their air boxes. Just wondered if there was any point in doing it on a TDI?

Ive removed the airbox on my FR tdi. Now, there was a small rubber tube that went into the top half of the box. What is this tube, whats it used for and will it be detrimental to anything just having it hanging there, not attached to anything? Cheers

hey all, just a quicky, as title says, need to remove airbox, top is easy but there is a weird bolt thing where it connects behind the battery, i have tried pulling but dont want to break it, any info please

Guys I'm guessing this is a really easy thing to do but I want tot ake the airbox off my ibiza to re-attach the water hose. i can clearly see that there is a bolt in the bottom right corner (by the battery) - guessing thats the obvious bolt however i cannot see any other (in the dusk light)...

on all my other cars i have had, i have removed the airbox and replaced with an induction kit - differing makes maily but all on petrol cars ranging from 1.4l to 2.5l v6's. Now i have a Leon FR Tdi, can i repeat the process here? even if its a diesel engine? If so, has anyone else done it...

the other evening i drilled three one inch holes in my airbox, they are drilled in the correct place and i think it sounds superb underload! however, how will this effect my fuel economy, can someone please shead some light on this :) cheers.

Hi Guys, i bought a SFS hose (part number AH30) a while ago, only just round to fitting today..... I thought this pipe was to replace the small flexi plastic from the MAF to the solid air--intake plastic bit..... Its too long and has a 45 deg bend half way down.........where does this...

I was reading D.K's guide on smoothing the airbox and he said DONT remove the flap to the MAF, why not? i see this as a restriction, and your trying to aid airflow so its renderd usless as the same ammount of air is going in as last time.

Hi guys.. need you help.. I want one of the above (a Carbon Dynamic Airbox - BMC Airfilter) .. they are around 180quid.. but there is someone selling one for around 45quid.. only problem is.. its for a 1.6 MG.. not i can buy a reducer hose.. as the indcution hose for a MG is only 69.5mm and slap...
