Guys I need your opinion. (If this is in the wrong place can a mod pls move, ta)
I'm just back from my local SEAT Dealer, they're quoting £260 for my 20K service on my K1.
Trouble is I'm also wanting them to install a new Forge DV I've purchased and the SEAT guy said they won't do it as...
Do you think this will be ok? I dont want a diesel anymore and the new 1.4tsi seems perfect with a good balance of performance and economy. Also the dsg will be perfect on motorways and traffic.
While in Spain recently my 20K service became due. Odo was showing 18.5K when we left the UK, so told the wife we may as well get the service done in Spain at the local (to her dad's) SEAT service centre. My local stealers had already quoted me "around £230" for the 20K.
Took the car in for...
Well, gave the car a good clean on Saturday, easy to clean thanks previous cleans by Iain Finer Details, thought I would post some pics up though..
Cleaned and then waxed now it's covered in road grime and salt grrrr This was how it looked Saturday though

Just had a bit of a shock, just phoned my local Seat dealer for my 20k service just to be told it would come to £350  What the hell is that all about, even my Toyota Celica on a major service was a lot less than that!!!!
Tell me this dealer is off his head, surely it doesn't cost £350...
Just had my car serviced at local stealer, 20k service usual stuff done :
engine oil flush
fuel lone cleaner
oil
brake fluid change
2 new rear indicator bulbs ? (apparently the old ones went white ?)
screenwash fluid

Some kind of filter (part num S1H0819644B) no idea...
Hey
I've just called the dealer to book in for a 20k service and was told that a brake fluid change was advisable at 20k miles.
Do people go for this or not??
They tell me they can do a brake fluid change and an air con recharge together for 100 quid?
thanks

What prices have people paid for their 20k services?!
I've just spoken to my two nearest dealers (GK Derby & Barlow Motors), and one quote me £270 and the other quoted me a maximum of £213 but she said it woud be less than that as the vehicle is only 8 months old!
Are these realistic...
Just a quick one.
Getting my 20k Service done next sat at VAG-Tech was just wondering if its worth getting any particular oil for them to put in?
Or just let them put in the Seat Approved fully synthetic stuff?
Cheers
Hello everyone.
I know that there have been alot of posts about this as have searched hte forum, but I had to have a little rant I'm afraid.
I'm in need of a 20k service in about 8weeks. I've just called the dealer I bought the car from:

Hi all,
My Dads 06 1.4 Sport is due its 20k service and we were wondering what he can expect the CURRENT price for this to be at SEAT.
Anyone recomend a Dealership(price) in Leicestershire or there abouts!
Thanks!
DC
Just been quoted ~£290 for a 20K service on a 05 plate LCR. Brake fluid change is extra at ~£55. Seems steep to me.
Are there any dealers in West Berkshire that might beat this - and do dealers price match?
Did a search and most people seem to be paying less...
Just rang the dealer today to book the service due (40K) and price was quoted as £258 and additionally they recommended (but not compulsory) brake fluid change for £40.
After reviewing the handbook tonight does anyone know the difference why the 40K interval service should be more expensive...
Hi guys, its time of the year again for the service of my 1.6 SX to be due!
Ive been quoted from the dealers £196 for the service and £40 for the brake fluid service so call it £240.
I queried the use of Fully Synthetic oil and they informed me they already use this oil and no other now...
Seen a few threads pop up lately regarding SEAT service prices varying so much, and it's time for my 20k service (well in a few weeks anyway). So I'm posting this to keep track of the quotes I'm getting back to give you a good idea on the varying costs of services etc - will keep it up to date...
Its 2nd service time on my FR and just had a quote of £250.
