Found on the drive tonight was this.

Any ideas? It's about 5cm high and 4cm in diameter. The inside has two small grooves (top and bottom), then two wider groves in the left & right hand sides.

I'm sure my car now has a slight clonk or jerk when going onto the throttle but it could just be me...

I did have the OE front suspension bushes replaced a few months ago - could it be part of the old one?

It looks like one of the old bushes to me

also I'm pritty sure they cant just fall off like that, probably got droped and landed in the engine under tray and was hard to see cos its black so they just forgot about it....

You'll notice the hole in the middle is hex shaped, which would suggest it's the inner part of the rear bush off the lower arm.
Like Nath said, it probably just got left in the undertray when it was hacked out.

Hmm, okay, so that should explain the widget but doesn't explain the clonk.

80,000 service will have to be booked next week though, so hopefully it'll last till then...
