Some VAG-COM fault codes

Afternoon,

I just ran the diagnostics on VAG-COM after installing it on my laptop and the scan gives me the following errors:

00710 - defroster flap positioning motor (v107)
000 - - intermittent
01274 - air flow flap positioning motor (v71)
000 - - intermittent

00907 - intervention load management
35-00
01598 - drive battery voltage
07-10 - signal to low - intermittent

The first 2 I'm not too concerned about as I think I assume they're the motors that position the flaps in the ventilation system. But I’m not too sure about the second two, anybody any ideas as I couldn't find much on the search?

I've cleared the faults to see if they reappear over time.

Well I've just tested again and the codes have reappeared. Nobody any ideas what they are?

00907 Intervention load Management
000 - -

Means at some point, the climate control received a message that told it to shed non-critical loads (like the seat heaters) to ensure that your battery wouldn't get run down to the point where it would keep you from starting the car.

the "000 ---" means "This space intentionally blank", i.e. the control module doesn't have anything more to say about this code.

Ahh ok - thanks!

I guess it's nothing to worry about too much then. Probably tied up with the other codes. I have noticed that when I turn on the ignition i can hear the air flow direction flaps from (what sounds like) near the passenger footwell moving around and making a kind of wining noise. Then they stop. Then step and repeat...

It's too cold though to start taking the trim off and having a look around to see what's going on

sounds like u have a battery problem , u have an intermittent fault from somewhere , could be alternator or such , hence why ur climate control shut down , get ur battery tested , dont use a voltmeter , an autospark will put a load across it n measure the voltage under load , ask him 4 advice, make sure all terminals are tight also

A few months back my battery went flat on me and I'd noticed it hadn't been charging correctly as it was only reading 12v on my dial (with engine on) - I assumed it was the alternator or duff battery.
I took it to get checked out at my local alternator specialists and they said the alternator was fine but diagnosed the fault as a faulty wiring loom which they replaced. The battery has been charging fine ever since.
When I got the car back I noticed the wining air flap, but I just put that down to me listening too hard as normally I don’t sit with the ignition on without starting the engine (and then I can’t hear the wining)

Do you think it could be the battery still, or perhaps something else?

Air con questions

Well I got my 6 dial cluster fixed and rewelded...yeppy!

I'm trying to fix my AC now.

I've had it back from the garage who have run a vag scan and have the following problems:

V71 air flow flap positioning motor - not working
V107 defrost flap positioning motor - not working
Compressor - not working

I can see the compressor is obviously leading to AC failure, but would V71 and V107 also affect the AC?

Anyone know where the V71 motor is? I gather the V07 is near the glovebox (just remove it and its on the right...apparently).

Just wondering if anyone's tackled these? Looking through the previous posts this is a common set of error messages...

Get them to do a basic setting on the aircon flaps, usually sorts them out.
