Cool Mod - AutoWindows 'Reflex'

Well, froze my b#####ks  off this weekend fitting the Autowindows Reflex model, but you know how it is, you have it delivered and you have to fit it. ;)

Took me about three hours to do, and its a must for people that like gizmos, as always makes me smile seeing the mirrors fold in and out :D , and being able to put the windows down remotely will be great for the summer, and vice versa, having the windows automatically close, gives you a full closure alarm.

Scott at Autowindows is a fab guy, e-mailed me straight back with the only query I had, as one wire is tricky and as I had delocked my car, the only way to check the correct wire was to put your key in the lock and unlock, then you get a pulse, but he sorted out a different way - TOP BLOKE!!!

So if anyone has any doubts - nahhh - go on do it - you know you want to :D

Have placed a link below if anyone is interested:-

Glad you got it fitted okay.

The White wire was a little bit of pain, as couldn't find the yellow with grey trace, and couldn't do the check with de-locking, but Scott quickly sorted me out, and it ended up being a Yellow wire with the littlest bit of green trace ever!!!

Also, the W8 light went straight in, as it had the plug ready, so thanks again Tom

Out of interest, does yours have the annoying 'feature' of two clicks to open all the doors and the windows go down??!>...

The wire was ample long enough, as i have wires for the gauges on the A-pillar, so not a problem.

As for the double clicks - yep, all of them do this if setup to unlock drivers on one, the rest on two, as spoke to Scott about this, and what you do is one click, let the mirrors start to unfold, then do the two clicks, a little bit of a pain, but soon get used to it i suppose, not worth not doing it though!

Just get hold of vag-com and disable the "two click unlock" thing. I did this as soon as i fitted my reflex module, now its a piece of the piddle variety to use...
