No heater and fuse no 4 keeps blowing

Hi all, my MK2 Leon FR TDI 07 keeps blowing fuse no 4 on the end of the dashboard. I noticed smoke and burning coming from the drivers side of the scuttle when I replaced the fuse.

I have taken the scuttle off and cleaned out all the leaves and dirt but no sign of any burning. Anyone out there had this problem before? I am melting without the heater!

Have also noticed the red backlight does not work on the heater display but LCD still working, maybe a blown bulb shorting out?

Smoke coming from front windscreen washer jet! Are these heated? Will remove plastic on bonnet tomorrow to investigate. Got light to come back on heater display but still no blowers!

I had a similar issue with fuse 4 blowing. Turned out to be the air con pressure switch for me.

Thanks, checked the wiring to the switch and it has melted slightly, maybe it was touching the engine block? Fixed the wiring, reconnected and seems to be working again. Cheers.
