Hi guys and gals, picked up my newly refurbished 9 spoke Audi reps this morning, had them sitting in my garage for years as they wouldn't fit over my 2004 LCR Brembo's.

Had them done in matt, anthracite finish. They look better than what i was expecting. Now they're sitting on the car they do make the car sit quite high, and they look proud of the wheel arch.

I'd love to hear what you think, opinions, suggestions etc. The car's very dirty, i haven't cleaned it so it would look better had i done that.

Yeah i've had a few people say that, well, they've said that they like the standard ones. Gotta try new these things out sometimes, i've still got the originals so i can always swap back if i fancy it.

I had thought about keeping a set with winter tyres on, most likely the Audi ones. What's the main thing with the preference? Is it the colour or design? Or both?

I also considered selling them but i like to have the option of changing when i want to. I agree to some degree with you guys, there's something not quite matching with them. i think the car is sitting to high, as mentioned, lowering it will enhance the look

I don't think more than 5 spokes suits the mk2. Might be able to find some nice 7s, possibly. That particular design is welded to the Audi TT in my mind, too, so there's a bit of blatant prejudice.

And anthracite wheels only work with a few body colours, of which black is not one. In my opinion, of course.

It'll look better lowered regardless of the wheels :)

Yeah i was going to go for the v10 RS6 design but a new set was more expensive than getting these re-done. so thought may as well save where i can, plus they needed doing as i couldn't sell them for much in their kerbed state.

If you can photoshop them onto a speed blue Leon, I might buy your refurbed ones if you want to sell.. :D

I think they would've looked better if they were their original colour tbh, I had thought about spraying mine this sort of colour but I don't think it goes with black now

Prefer the before also, maybe you should have gone gold colour on a dark car.
