rite then, a fair few have posted about the fitment of the trs strap to the leon, how to fit, where to fix it, what to use to make a bracket...
the few of you who have done it propperly (in that i mean so it can be used) have explained, i have followed this up by doing it...
so...
tools - hacksaw, drill, grips, spanner to fit the nut, a 6.8mm bit and matching tap to fit a M8 bolt
material - 8M bolt, washer and spring washer (a must have so it wont work its way off!!)
first up get a spare screw in towing eye (or use yours if you wanted)
cut the the towing eye more or less in half, iv only cut the loop off mine and its a little long really
take a drill to the middle, drill and then tap the thread
get a bolt to fit the thread, a washer and also a spring washer to save it shaking about and falling off, you can use lock tight or somthing if you wish.
put it all together make sure it all fits etc BUT dont do the nut up all the way as you will need to put the towing eye on the car first using a set of grips make sure its nice and tight THEN keeping it in the grips do the nut up for the strap, again nice and tight, remember the towing eye has a backwards thred so doing the nut up without having the grips on the "bracket" will prob undo the thread and you will be playing a silly game of push me pull you lol
next job to do is the bumper grill, simply cut a little bit away for the strap to poke through
job done, sit back and enjoy as now your car is poking its toung out at all the passers by

CAN I ASK IF YOU HAVE FITTED THE STRAP TO A NON LCR BUMPR PLZ PLZ PLZ SEND ME A PIC, I WOULD LIKE PICS OF ALL 3 BUMPERS WITH THE STRAP FITTED ON THIS TOP THREAD!!!
