Just picked up a rather lovely Kenwood DDX-6029 with KNA-G421 GPS, KCA-BT200 Bluetooth, KDC-C719MP 10 disc changer and KCA-S220A switching unit on eBlag. Hopefully will pick up the cage/bezel in the next couple of weeks and I'll be using this guide to get it fitted. Not sure where to put some of the bits though. The head-unit clearly has to go in the centre console; that's a given, but the GPS unit and the multi-changer... not so sure where they'll go. I'm assuming there's no way to get an after market changer in where the OE one goes without customising something?

Also, trying to decide whether it's worth relocating the ash-tray as per the proper location if you bought the Leon with double-din sat-nav. Need to keep the cigarette lighter as my phone needs charging three times a day (Nokia N900 - good phone, as long as you always have a power source handy )

Any thoughts guys?

Cheers

Only made the first post two hours ago; don't even have the gear in my hands yet  Take a look at the first post in my readers-ride topic (click my signature pic) and there will be a link on that first post that goes to the items themselves. Will fit in a couple of weeks (hopefully)

:D Keep an eye out; I'll post my results no doubt. Won't get the hardware until the day before I go on holiday so it'll be a couple of weeks at least mind you

just leave it and hardwire your in car charger lead into your glovebox for your phone

depending upon size you might be able to squeeze the changer in the oem position

Hmm, not a bad idea. Was actually wondering about whether it's possible to get the fag-lighter to go in the rear ash-tray, or maybe in the pocket next to the hand brake. Not terribly handy at these kind of things though and not sure whether it'd be a good move for the future (ie if I decide to put it back to standard to sell one day). Good idea though and I'll definitely think about it.

Regarding the multi-changer; it's a 10 disc jobby so I bet it's considerably larger. Or is the OE one a bit oversized for what it is?

Cheers
