Let the cleaning commence

Got a bit bored yesterday and decided I was going to start buying a few things to help me clean my car again, most of the stuff I bought originally I have either run out of or someone else has used it and it's knackered. I used to do it every week then I got out of the habbit, but recent trips to detailing days have re-ignited my passion for cleaning my chariot so I made a quick list of what I bought yesterday, I think for the money I did quite well. Opinions?

First off I decided to buy a new pressure washer as the old one nearly killed me when the hose came flying off after switching it on lol, turns out the thread on the jet washer was knacked, so time for something new. Nipped off the eBay and picked this Bosch Aquatak 100bar jet washer up for £40

Then I went off to the "Chemical Guys" website and bought myself their "Complete wash kit" for about £30 which I thought was a bargain, it consists of a 16.5 litre bucket with grit guard, a lambswool wash mit, a large waffle drying towel and a 16oz bottle of shampoo :) Will go back and buy another bucket at some point too.

while I was there I decided to get a brush for cleaning my wheels (no more using my toothbrush for this job )

Then I nipped off to "cleanyourcar" and bought some Bilberry wheel cleaner to use with said wheel brush

Also decided that I needed some snow foam and the attachment for the pressure washer

and last but not least I grabbed a little spray bottle so I could apply the wheel cleaner to my alloys.

As you can see I got a little carried away and ended up spending about £160 lol and could have spent a whole more very easily but I already have some decent Carnuba wax so thought I had better leave the rest for another day, the only thing that really knocked the price up was the foam lance which was more than the pressure washer , anyway I am looking forward to the stuff arriving so when it does stop raining I can get shining, hopefully that will be very soon or I may end up getting bored again and buying more stuff lol

lol, it really is too easy yeah, I could have spent another £100 and probably still not come out with everything I wanted, but I feel if I can get the essentials now then I can pick up the other stuff along the way.

Yep, just build up your collection of goodies again. Just get the essentials for now.

Sound advise from Alex

Resist the urge to buy multiple products of the same thing. Its good to try various products but in the end you end up sticking with what you know.

Yeah I won't be buying for the sake of it, but I would like to have a decent collection of gear to be able to use, just going to keep adding to the collection till I have all the bases covered.
