As a few members have asked about this here is how to remove the rear bumper.

You will need a torx set for the screws and a small screw driver to flick the number plate light plugs off.

1. Start by opening the boot and pulling up the aperture seal on the boot

2. Remove both rear lights

3. Remove the screws from the inside each rear wheel arch

4. Remove the screws from the under side of the bumper

5. Remove the 6 screws (3 each side) that are under the rear lights

and then lift the bumper off (if you can get a friend to help it makes life a lot easier).

6. unclip the number plate light plug with a small screw drive and place bumper some where safe so it will not get damaged.

Job done

Hi St10587,

I see you have helped describe the removal of the rear bumper I just wondered if you could tell me how to get the front fog lamp covers off as I need to replace the front grille due to a hole in it and not being very good with cars would not like to break anything while im attempting to replce it. I got the Ibiza 1.9 tdi FR 2004 plate.

Thanks in advance

Hi Wayne

there is a small screw in the top corner of each grille, remove this then they just pull out!

Did this earlier and it's very useful :)

Just a note, the wheel arch screws are pretty hard to get to without taking the wheels off, I had to take mine off

Also with the new bumper make sure the screw adaptors are on the screw holes near the bottom else the screws won't fit
