Since I have had my LCR I changed the disc's when I bought it to EBC ( i know they have mixed reviews) they have been on my car for 5 months and they have warped?? I dont really drive the car like a mad man but I do put my foot down from time to time.

After a good run I dont sit with my foot on the breaks when stopped, and had them bedded in when 1st bought - is this a common problem with them, warping so soon??

or could somthing be wrong with the calipers themselves? a car motorsport garage where I got the discs from said you may have a bent hub?

I dont want to be replacing discs every 5 months!

just a quicky on the warped disc convo, i hit a kerb through black ice a few weeks ago, just the back wheel hit so minor damage from what it looks, is there a chance this could warp your disc?? as it has been making a noise, and a local garage said the discs are warped, so just wanting to know if this can happen.

difficult to see how the wheel collision could bend the disk.. bend the hub etc yes, but the disk?
if you jack up the car and free rotate the wheel does it get to a stiffer point? that would confirm somethings amiss alignment wise and possible bend somewhere

yea had it jacked on the ramps, spun the wheel, and as it was spinning was always a point in the turn that you could hear it, the noise was deeper if u no what i mean. i think ill change the discs and pads in a couple months, they said it will just make my pads wear quicker, so thought may aswell let them finish their life. So bill when are you getting the 007 DV back in stock? it was me who rang yesterday along with the green cotton filter for Cupra R.

sorry to hiJack this thread.
i spunked a big lot of dosh on front and rear zimmerman drilled brake discs combined with red stuff pads.
i drove carefully and braked progressively for 400 miles, then one day when a cat pulled out in front of me and i braked quite a bit bit more to only realise to my horror that the brand new front discs had warped.
next time i buy EBC pads i will have to match them with EBC ultimax discs.
