red light on dash - some thing that seat has never seen be for.

Hello there people. I have owned my lc for about 5months know and its started doing some thing that seat has never seen be for. When you turn the car on the red light in the temprature gauge beeps 3 times then flash intill you turn the car off. Any one got any ideas.

Sounds like the level sensor in the coolant expansion tank. It can be fixed relatively easily by carefully scraping the scale off the 2 metal prongs inside the tank with a flat blade screwdriver. Alternatively, you can replace the expansion tank - the sensor is part of the tank. The tank is fairly cheap, I paid less than £10 and relatively quick & easy to replace.

It's a fairly common problem :)

hello mate. this thread is for info only;) we are not supposed to post on it.

best idea is to try the search button in the leon section... failing that stick a thread up in the leon section.

happy prong scraping (bear in mind the sensor is alerting you to low coolant so check your levels before blaming the sensor getting furred up.):)
