hi there
after recent insurance claims i managed to get another leon tdi, its a 53 2003 seat leon tdi 110 facelift, this time im going to make my own progress thread, let me know what you think, it wont be staying standard for long

And the first mod was cupra r vents which was from my first leon and cupra r pedals

next i decided to put my custom made white dials in cause the black ones look very dull and the white looks more sportier

got them custom made from this website mate, german website but great people and very wiling to help, i explained i couldnt put the cupra tdi dials in cause the speedo would be slightly out so i sent them a picture of my black ones and they custom made a set for me, i used the fuel and temp guage from a old cupra template and the revs and speedo custom made

this is what i ordered but i didnt use the fuel and temp guage are used the oem ones for an experiment which turned out better than i expected

to fit them, i disconnected the battery and then undid the clocks and took them out the dash, then undo the two cable clips and the cluster should come free out of the dash, then there are 8 clips holding two parts of the cluster together, prize each one apart and then they should come apart. next thing is two remove the needles, best way i found was use two table spoons to prize them off with, when all 4 needles are removed the black template dials can be removed and the new ones can be installed, when lined up dont put the casing back together leave the front plastic front bit off, reason is when you connect the battery back up the needles reset them self and move, so now you have to move them manually and line up with the position they would sit at when car is turned off, now lined up you can assemble the cluster back together and put in dash and the job should be done, lining the needles back and will take a couple of attempts so be patient lol

out of the exisitng black dials you have to cut a template from the dials like this

this is because the new dials dont come as one whole template, so you need indicator symbols, warning dash lights etc from old template
i was thinking all this effort for nothing before i did them but well worth it after

LCR alloys or 18's which suit the car

corrrr blimey, they do look really nice!

Cheers for the guide as well, could even ask a mod to make that sticky as really detailed. Although it's a lot of work i'd deffinately like to do this in the summer depending on if they can make them up for the ibiza.

they look the nuts in person, i was surprised of how well they transform the interior of the car, they certainly brighten up the interior up having white instead of black

Ive got a Cupra front bumper for sale in the same colour if your interested!

Love the car mate, looking good.

and a few more mods which i have done today the most important mod of all lol
seatcupra.net stickers, so ill wait to be spotted lol

i debadged the boot, well not totally took of the small seat and leon lettering leaving just the tdi badge as ive ordered a big leon from a mk2 leon which looks better imo, plus got rid of the horrible wiper and went for a mk5 golf rear one

and also picked up some mats that actually fit lol, excuse the little mess, mum broke the hoover so have not got one till friday lol

today, i recieved my hids from china or singapore, one of them two lol, very quick postage ordered saturday received today, very please

this pic is just a comparison hid on left, standard bulb on right

both installed, before you ask they are 6000k and i am looking around for a decent set of sidelights and mainbeams to go with them

and also i bought a cupra r gear knob as the other one was plain and boring

the actual cupra r one didnt fit, so i removed the base cause it wouldnt fit inside my gear gaiter hole bit and i used my old base and modified it so it would fit

i was going to totally debadge by boot, but i thought why hide what you got, i went down to seat and ordered a mk2 leon badge as the one i think on the cupra r is a tad to small, only cost me £3.77

also just waiting for the insurance company to send me my cheque for my excess back through and compensation money over my previous car and jabba will be getting a call very shortly

coming along nice...fast work as well

I have some White quad LED sidelights, not legal but look mint, and would go well with your HID's. Before i tried some ultra bright type ones, turns out they werent really any brighter or whiter in my opinion.

cheers mate, next on my list is jabba remap, but when i get my money back through excess etc ill prob get lowering kit and nice set of 18's hopefully cupra R alloys aswell
