Gash in pipe ... But what is the pipe!!!

Hey peeps....

Err two images First one shows main block Oil Filler and a silver cap with pipe's (thin pipe connected to it..)

I have relocated the pipe - cut it and re-fitted... Road test later to see if any improvements - I have also cleaned K&N filter (dry clean) and removed tuning box (Yes, Ian Driveforward its still in use!!!!) just so I know that I'm back to basic's, to test properly ....... However prior to doing this the car was progressively stogie in its power feed.....

Update - Tomorrow tuning box gets re-fitted .... It runs reasonably but it lacks the punch - Mrs StuB said immediately get that tuning box back ON !!!!!

Still no idea what pipe was ripped though...

Well update - reconnected that we tuning box, after cleaning all MAF looking connection's Hmmm back to its old self (just feel a slight lag when the box cuts in).... So one does wonder ..

I dry cleaned, no lubricant on these connectors, just air canister mild 'blow' to clear any dust/bits, I also used the tip of a terminal screwdriver on the connectors... to 'freshen' up the joints...

I'm still pondering over a complete re-map with the guys down Portsmouth way, just concerned about any extra pressure that the head/gaskets/Oil chamber's may suffer from, I cant afford to replace this old bird.... (She will be 8 in June!!)
