VAG LOGS NOW DONE Need help diagnosing
Please help. Since Oct my AUQ LC has been running rich. After lots of trying things i feel like i am banging my head on a brick wall.
At first the Car was running way too much CO and was struggling for power beyond 4000 rpm.
THis was thought to be the MAF so a replacement was sought. THis did not solve the problem and it was looked at by VW Rescue in Wolverhampton.
They diagnosed a faulty MAF and fitted a genuine VW one which was a massive improvement. Unfortunately they do not have a gas analyser and so based on the improved driving, thought all was well.
After noticing that the MPG was seriously suffering (24 mpg on a steady motorway run!!!) it was put on a gas analyser again and found to be running rich as soon as it comes off idle.
So far i have tried
ECU coolant sensor - Replaced with green top, but was already a green one there.
Front lambda sensor - genuine part tested with no improvment so original put back on so i can at least get some money back
EGR valve removed, checked and re-fitted.
Basically i feel like i am banging my head on a wall and a lot of the local injection specialists do not want to get involved.
The best results i got today were
CO % - 1.6 (should be 0.2 max)
CO2 % - 14
Lambda value 0.95
I am open to suggestions, hopefully things i can do to diagnose the problem before i have to buy more sensors on a trial and error basis.
If anyone wants a front lambda sensor which was only run for 5 mins, let me know!
Thanks
