Hi,

I have just returned from a journey when braking for a small roundabout (at no more than 20 mph) and started to hear a loud screech which in the limited medium of forum posting sounded exactly like a transformer verymuch like this noise but at avery high pitched level

It came from the back left hand side andi have not heard it before

Anyone got any ideas? Sorry for the poor explanation. The car is only 2 weeks old!!!

Near Reevo :)
Yep - what DanGB says

It could be between the disk and the pad though, but either way it will come out / wear out shortly.

Cool good to hear that it might be something as simple as that, i shat myself the noise was so loud and continued for a good 30 secs or so. I had just been the dealers that day for a noisy steering rack so am a bit paranoid at the moment

Just check out all the brake discs, had it happen once and managed to get the stone out by reversing with the brakes slightly applied before too much damage had occured
just a thought.
