My central locking has not worked for over two months now, it's never been a big deal with me, but after getting a service today, they guys at the garage found that one of my rear lights had blown, they stuck a new bulb in, and hey presto the central locking now works!!!!!!!!!!

This bulb must have cut a circuit some place, so new bulb completed the circuit etc.

This is just an idea for you guys, it worked for me, im no mechanic, check those lights ha ha!

All good, just had to deal with rain, and even more rain on the way down, was cool though, really need to get rid of the piperx cone though, once the engine warms up, your down in power! and they give you a lumpy idle, gonna put the original air box on it next week, they can't be good for your engine at all. Devon to London next tues, then back up to Warwickshire, i call it the big triangle!

When i got my Sofa the central locking wasnt working, thought it was to do with wires but it was actually because when the tailgate was smoothed the idiot who did it didnt put hose back in the door (C/L works on air pressure in mine) so air was hissing out, put a cable tie on the end (for now) and voila all works again! :)
So tail light bulbs and cable ties are all you need to fix the mk2's C/L system! lol
