Hi, i've been looking at getting some uprated anti roll bars for my 52plate LC, i've been looking at the neuspeed ones on awesome-gti.co.uk, i'd like to know are these the best ones to go for quality, price and best handling? i know there was a group buy on these and the reviews i've read have given very good feedback. What would the difference in ride be between the 25mm and 28mm ARB's and how hard are they to fit? will it be a case of getting someone to fit them for me. Any help would be much appreciated.

Rear arb you can fit yourself, but the front might need someone to fit it.
Neuspeed are great arbs i would defiantly recommend them :)

Just had an email from awesome-gti recommending 25mm front and 28mm rear bar is that the setup that most people go for? Will it make the car twitchy or any different to the normal setup apart from less body roll?

I uprated mine to 22mm front and 25mm rear. Both Neuspeed from Awesome GTi. I use my car as family transport and was worried about going 25mm/28mm. The handling is much better and not twitchy at all. Roundabouts are a real laugh.

Given my time again I would probably go 25mm/28mm but I am still very happy with my set-up. Totally recommend both Neuspeed and Awesome GTi.

worth having a look for the H&R arb's
similar size ratio's to the neuspeeds but will cost you less!

How do the new ARB's make the car feel compared to standard?

Obviously it corners noticeably flatter and the steering feels more responsive. I was worried that it might introduce some understeer but that hasn't happened. Another bonus is that it appears to have cured my LCR's habit of the steering feeling a little distant on the motorway at 80 - 90. The car always felt like it was moving around a little before. Even passengers have been able to tell the difference.

The rear Neuspeed is adjustable (3 settings) so you can fine tune if you find that the rear doesn't suit your driving style. I installed mine in the middle setting and haven't felt the need to move it.

If you're looking for downsides I really don't think that there are any. Not the cheapest mod but one of the most worthwhie IMO.

lol but good things do come in small packages, thats what i was told anyway. Only thing that slightly concerns me is how low the rear ARB sits, any chance it could hit speed bumps because there are some pretty tall ones that the wheels don't go over if you get what i mean.

And whether the other makes will fit with the std rear box in place ??

Unlikely becuase they are 'u' shaped and attached to the rear beam

I had an LCR lowered 20mm and it was never an issue ;)

True for the LCR only (see thread above and sticky at top of Leon Section)
LC can take Neuspeed, H&R and Eibach etc

So from what i gather on the other thread any of the makes of rear arb, will fit the LC with standard rear box fitted, that's what was concerning me...

The thicker you go the less roll and less ride quality your going to have. What you also have to take into consideration is that just because the bar is thicker doesn't mean the car will be as balanced with smaller bars. Another one you have to consider is how stiff you want the bars to be.

I personally think there is a good reason why H&Rs and Eibachs are smaller than neuspeeds.

If you are going to do this consider the S3 strutt brace aswell
This is cheap but very effiective and if the steering feel is something your considering this is the main mod for better feel
