how to tell ko3s or not

well i thought i had ko3s turbo fitted to my car but im not sure if i do now as my mate who is a mechanic says it looks like a ko3.
how do i tell if its a ko3s
have had a search but cant find anything.

exterior wise they can look exactly the same (they are)

well its already on the car.
so there is no way to tell from the outside

you may be able to see if it is ssilenced, if it is then its likely to be a K03s as i dont think they silenced any of the normal k03's. But not all K03s's are silenced!!

part number?

has it got a silencer on the outlet? where it connects to the charge pipe over the engine.

if you dont mind me asking, what made you think you had a k03s?

your mate could be the master tech for a local dealership but there is no way he would be able to tell a k03 from a k03s when its fitted to the car

the silencer is a big round can at the end of the outlet

the lad who i bought the car off said it had a ko3s fitted.he also had it in his sig on here.my mate just asked the question that was all so i thought i would ask on here that was all.
yes it does have a big can fitted but might not be at the right part.any pics to confirm.
also can see any p/n

the boy was a bit of a tit to say the least.it was the chav mobile that was on ebay at the start of the year with the stickers bonnet 100% better now was just he told me other things about the car but were not true so that was the only reason

Don't forget the ko3s only has one vac pipe going to the actuater and ko3 has 2 thats a way to tell from the out side.
