What can I say...had 13 miles on it when I picked it up from the PDI centre.

Bright white and clean in the sun �� I had ordered dynamic grey which is like a dull white but that colour had expired. dealer apologised massively a few weeks back and has sent £750 rebate. result. its only a 2 year lease so can change out soon enough.

Its quick...really punchy and lots of low down punch usable on the road. still getting used to the modes of comfort, sport and Cupra. sport and then cupra makes the exhaust louder, suspension & steering harder and raises the power. Cupra is the highest setting.

Great quality and the price is bonkers on the lease for a £32k car. really great range of options too from standard which you have to add in a VW or Audi or hike up the spec.

Got a tuning box for it which should take it to 340 bhp which should be hilarious!

Cold and slippy out there but it feels stable and grippy.

lots to learn about it and to enjoy but a cracking daily.

TMC tuning box went on today,. jesus it goes like a scolded rat now! 3rd gear is brutal. pick up much better and revs through range faster.

traction a challenge and times and managed to find a dry and long road to test out.

on the middle setting and I think I will keep it there.

Ha ha sadly not. A recent car meet at virginia water. Loved the f40 and the f50.

I still have the e36 m3 saloon barn find which is work in progress back to standard for keeps.

A few other things tucked away that the wife does not know about too. Future pension or rainy day

so one screw in front left tyre later and a puncture fixed. was in the middle of tread so ok.

do the councils ever sweep roads these days? amount of crap on the roads is unreal.

are the conti 5s quite soft as the fronts seem to be wearing well?? good in a way as want to ditch for Michelin SS or the 4S in future.

TRC splitter acquired from kind owner on here. in good condition too and the gloss black paint came up fine after a wash.

Side skirts being painted this week so should have all on by mid next week.

Very nice, have looked at leasing one myself as there are some great deals on them at the moment. Just can't justify the fuel costs of a petrol at the moment.

if you are doing more than 15k a year then a diesel makes sense.

Cupra is pretty good averaging around 30 but I don't do loads of long journeys now tbh. mostly to office and back and to the occasional customer visit. mainly train for going into London.

Nice looking car mate, i have the white ST 290 BE myself. I was actually wandering about the front splitter and how its fixed on? being a lease car did you bother getting the permission to fit it?

I've never had a lease car before so i wasnt sure how much they look for stuff like that i assume you will take it off at the end of the lease?

Nah just crack on and fix.

The splitter uses 9 bolts and they are way under the car well out of sight. You would have to get the car on ramps to see. Same for the side skirts ( use some double sided tape along the edge plus tappers under Neath)

I have had a few leases now and when they come to collect its a general look over at eye level unless there is Sth big a miss or obvious. Then they take the car straight to the auctions!!

Will remove splitter and side skirts before it goes back.

Am getting another that's for sure as what a car for the money.

Side skirts should fit face lift model. Not sure on front splitter. If not sell on here

Will get some pics on Friday when it all goes on and show bit by bit

yeah I like the splitter. I got mine second hand off here for £60 so even better.

Seat Warrington supplied the car through the broker Vehicle Savers. I picked it up from the local PDI centre. Warrington were really good to deal with and decent bunch.

so TRC splitter and side skirts now on and I love the look. really seems to be finished off. its a few subtle touches but makes all the difference for me.

We used double sided tape along the side of the sills where it mounts to the car.
make sure the OEM sills are clean and dry of course!
push the skirt up to the car and it bonds on with the DS tape
Un did the front mudguards and then tucked in the side skirt behind those and screwed on so it keeps the OEM look and bolts.
we used a small cylinder shaped spacer with a hole in it to bolt through.
this allows you to tilt the skirt a little at an angle and then bond the tape to the OEM sills
Small tapper screw through the open areas of the jacking points to hold the skirts in tight as there was a little bowing at that point.
You can’t see the screws now as they are covered by the jacking point blanking plates.
put some DS tape on the jacking blank bits as no intention of taking those off.
Couple of bolts underneath the skirts to hold to the underside and hey presto.
1 hour to fit too.

so total cost:
£100 for the skirts
£100 to prep and paint
£50 to fit labour
£250 all in. result!!

colour match is sport on as the car is new and white is much easier to work with too according to the painter.
the FG side skirts were really well made and did not need much prep which was a result.

over and out. good luck with whichever route you chose to go. can vouch for the ebay jobbies and thanks to Peter at Car Loving Criminals (CLC)

Looks great Nick, as you said it really finishes it off nicely.

I had pretty much made up my mind to get the splitter and seeing thats just confirmed it.

Dont think im going to splash out on the side skirts just yet, want to get a slight exhaust mod done first
