  1. SOS / Travel Assist unavailable errors after 1940 update

I did get the latest update from the dealer as I'm too out of warranty in a few weeks time. Problem seemed to go away for a couple of weeks but back with a vengeance now, every journey. Frustrating! I really regret trading my Skoda VRs 245 MK 3.5 now, 3 years ownership not a single fault. Not...

    New software update?

Sorry, I worded that wrong. They told me specifically they had updated the SOS module as well as updated the infotainment to 1940. He was adamant my SOS issues would be sorted! I'll be on to them on Monday.

    Hello from Carmarthen

There was probably a window when you got the issues or your software combination of infotainment unit (mib3) and the telematics box software is fine. VAG have known about this issue for a long time and have been working thru the issue. Some dealers might not be so proactive as others at sorting...
  4. SOS / Travel Assist unavailable errors after 1940 update

...the problem didn't seem to show - (although the car was in Guest mode with no primary user - which I've added. I gather this may be the telematics unit hardware/firmware? I've only got 6-7 weeks of manufacturer warranty left so am keen to get booked into a Cupra stealer and just wanted...
  5. Software upgrade

...anything on 16xx. You’d have to get updated to something like 1790, then up to the latest from there. SOS error is a combination of telematics module firmware and software updates. I’d use these points as a bargaining tool to get the vehicle up to date before purchase (you could always...
  6. New software update?

They told me the same thing after the first time my Leon was in for the SOS error. They sorted it on the second attempt. Guessing they either didn’t update the telematics module firmware the first time, or they reloaded it the second time.
  7. New software update?

The 1940 firmware won’t solve that issue unfortunately! You need to tell them to update the telematic module. They won’t do it unless you tell them you get this issue and you want it updated.
  8. SOS Error

Got my car back from 2nd attempt at updates... 1st attempt (Feb): Update Infotainment from 1790 to 1898, and supposedly updated the telematics firmware. Still had the SOS errors and double-pops/loss of connectivity. GPS going nuts after this happens too. 2nd attempt (Mar): Still on 1898...

    Travel & Emergency Assist Errors

...the VAG group. They either changed the electronics or reprogram it. Our good friends will tell you what is needed. It is also on the thread. Keyword "telematics" just remembered It's name 🙄. Cupra Warranties - 2 Years or 3 Years??

...at junctions by ACC, mapping issues that cause the car to brake, undertaking, overtaking issue. So it's not totally sorted out yet. The telematics box giving rise to issues with the SOS warning alarm, the press to fix it temporary. That still pops up from time to time. Mib3 went in on all...

    No Sound Through Speakers

That's the telematics connection box that needs software updating to stop the SOS issue. Going dark and fiddling with permissions were things that were suggested as fixes in the user community before Seat started to roll out the Telematic update... eg. the proper fix to the bug.

    SOS Error

@East Yorkshire Retrofits have said about faulty telematic units which are changed by dealers. It was / is an issue across all VAG cars. VW were quicker to fix the issue but all the same issue. So I reckon from what I've read it's a hardware issue or atleast in some.
  13. SOS and popping sounds

If they update the telematic firmware that seems to solve the sos issue. Mines been ok since that was done. All I have now since the ota update the infotainment system just reboots itself! If it’s not one thing!!

MIB3: Wireless Full Link (CarPlay + AndroidAuto) works! Thanks to OBD11

SE37x vehicles are pretty much good to go. SE38X requires that the vehicle has a telematics module (OCU)

MIB3: Wireless Full Link (CarPlay + AndroidAuto) works! Thanks to OBD11

Why it's suck it and see. Worked for everyone on here so far. Can you check their VIN if they gave it to you and see whether it's got it. I'd find a use for Obdeleven in anycase but I guess if people are tight with the £ / €.
  16. Software version

...it’s fixed. No more pops from the stereo and no more SOS errors. Wasn’t done as part of this bulletin but the newest updates for infotainment and telematics module seem solid (other than the random reboot issue on startup but that’s rare). The wife’s phone connects up over wireless AA now as...
  17. SOS Error

Have just had two updates during service yesterday so hopefully error is fixed. Will have to see over next week or so.

    SOS Error

...that have had a crash counter above 0 without an accident as they can't be updated The vast majority of SOS faults have been fixed by telematics and infotainment updates. The amount of updates practically every module on the cars have had at this point is considerable, they've done a good...
  19. Rebooting mediasysteem solved Finaly

There's a telematics update required to solve that issue, the infotainment update won't resolve it.
  20. New software update?

Nope… there’s a software update to the telematics module that needs doing as well in order to fix that.
