    Yes, I've heard that. My telematics was updated last year and it stopped doing it. Then I had an update to 1899 in March and it started doing it again, and still is. My dealer has said everything is up to date so I'm not sure what else I can do.

    It’s a combo of infotainment And firmware on the telematics module itself. My dealer said it’s usually 50/50 whether a firmware update fixes it or it’s a new module installed.

    I've read that SOS & speaker pops need the telematics to be updated or replaced to fix it. Mines on 1940 and I still get them. Having said that, 1940 has been rock solid for me since the upgrade in early July. It's totally cured the 'changing system settings' pop up.

    It’s not just that, there’s a firmware update for the telematics module itself as well. Something like v45 from what I saw online somewhere else.

    ...and holding the red SOS button until the system starts to make a SOS call, then you cancel the call. This has worked 4 out of 5 times for me so far. 《《 VW were first to get it sorted, Skoda then Seat. Replacement telematics box is what they do and some reprogramming. You probably got old stock.

    Do a comparison, find the cheapest and call your current company and get them to match that price. If not then go elsewhere. Maybe get a dashcam too. That brings my premium down a bit. Had a telematics device for 6 months too as insurance was £350 cheaper with it in the car.

    Yes, there are software updates for other units like telematics etc. You can't see version for them unless you have OBD...
