It's the telematics box that has to be sorted out as well as you say. You'd think they wouldn't still be shipping cars still with the bug. Perhaps they got old stock or routinely upload the wrong software to the telematics unit. @East Yorkshire Retrofits said it was the telematics box that...
It's disabled. Because wireless Full Link isn't in the long coding. It's in the adaptations. Telematics module (75) doesn't require any coding in Byte 24 of 5F
Telematics module has nothing to do with it on your unit to be honest. Purely contained within 5F
Your infotainment system needs updating, it’s likely your telematics module does too
There’s likely other worthwhile updates outstanding to given the build date of the car
Yes, I have a 2021 and had the sos software updated to the telematics module and not an issue since if they update the infotainment only the sos will still carry on giving you issues. You need to push them to update that module
The SOS business is your telematics box that needs changing... that is the story. Whether Seat can start this all off again via a duff firmware update pass. May be.
If it's a secondhand car the previous owner may not have had the telematics box swapped out. @East Yorkshire Retrofits may tell...
That's great to know than you for telling me, the cars going to the dealership next week for them to root out the issues as it's still under warranty so I'll let them know.
It's an old problem that should have been sorted years ago. You end up with your telematics box reprogrammed or replaced and the infotainment software probably updated. Effected all the Vag 2020-22 cars more or less. Popping on the SOS. Many theories but just defective software / firmware. Vag...
...looking at things the moment it happens. By the way, you said that the dealer had tried to update the infotainment unit but the problem may not be there. I'd suspect that the telematics unit started to show signs of failing, with those intermittent problems.

It's likely your car has a tonne of outstanding updates
One will be for the infotainment system and the other will be for the telematics control module. Combined, they should help prevent this from happening
That seems to be the common thing that everyone is saying regarding the SOS module. So even if the infotainment system is updated without the SOS, does this still cause the popping sounds?
I'll be mentioning this to them when it's back. Thanks for the response.
Is this something I can do myself or how do I do this?
I've read here that I can update my nav system with USB c directly in the outlet and boot the update page. I'm just not sure what files to update the infotainment system with if I could update the system myself.
Sounds like the old telematics box issue but that suppose to be sorted. Did you try the trusty reboot of the infotainment unit. Long hold on the on / off switch till the splash screen reappears. That's the normal one you do if the infotainment system is playing up. Probably isn't that thou...
What control module(s) were updated?
It'll either have been the telematics module, the infotainment control module or both.
I'd be surprised if either of those could cause a start stop error. Have you had the battery tested?
