Hi all, MK1 cupra with 1.8t
Had a few issues as of recent with hot starting, noticed when I went to fuel station and filled up, car would then not start when "filled" (only had a 20 on me I'm broke)
Cranked fine however sounded like it was cranking completely dry, engine light thrown on and no start had to wait around 20 mins while occasionally cranking to see if it would start and cycling the key, locking unlocking etc.
Had my handy code scanner with me as it had done it before, codes presented to me were n80 purge valve open circuit and codes for all 4 injectors open circuit, heard about these cars struggling with fuel pumps and relays overheating, the car is running stage 2 and the fuel pump has previously been replaced with a performance one not sure of brand and wonder whether my issue would now be the relay causing the injectors to go open circuit as I've heard that the injector control is also powered by the fuel pump relay , is this correct and what are you guys opinions or where should I start, believe the n80 has been deleted and a pipe in situ that's vents straight to the wheel arch so I don't think it's actually fumes backing up in the tank causing the no start (very naughty I know)
TIA
