Spent far too long chasing up part numbers and seeing what wonders the Leon Supercopa had. Strangely enough, the stock washer bottle was used as the catch tank for the oil and for actual windscreen washer duties they got the bottle from a mid 80s Scirocco.

Oh, and I found a price list of lots of Supercopa parts at a place in Germany… anyone speak German n wanna ask them some silly questions?

Next up is an 034 motorsport rear main seal and housing . This was a "want" rather than a need

The machining is second to none. As always from 034 motorsport. The anodising is also top notch.. that's just dodgy camera and no skilld in photography .

I have some very similar turbo studs that I bought from Mamba, they were flipping expensive but they're sooo much better quality than the stock ones and a lot easier to use as they allow a small 11mm ratchet spanner to fit onto the nut rather than struggling like hell with a cumbersome 17mm in a tiny space.

Nobody will ever see them (unless you *really* run out of talent) but you'll know they're there, and that's what makes you smile.

Removed the roof rails so I can re-lacquer them over the weekend. Got the gunk out, but need to slap some anti-rust primer on becahse there are a few patches of surface rust

I should do that, as I've got a light scuff on my roof I want to sort while I have the 2K lacquer out.

Was it a straightforward job?

Yeah, dead easy to get them off. Sprayed WD40 along them and then prised them off from the rear with a plastic knife. Once the rear is up you can pull them up and off by hand.

on top of the anti rust chemical I've put on i used a zinc spray its very good anti rust, painted it on though after spraying lid, Aldi do really good zinc sprays for the price even as good as Action can ZG-90, then just used the matched paint I've got that does not need a Lacquer, did mine last year as the rust come above the rails , exact same place on both sides, completely forgot as its a common problem the audi S3 mk1 had same issue

This is a job for mine at one point, just picked up a very firm set to replace mine, as a few years ago the garage did not take them out to paint them properly and now the rails are flaking wouldn't av been a big deal except they sealed the ends in I defo expect them to break to get them out

Did you see that PDF doc that someone stuck on one of the Facebook groups??
It was called “2005 SEAT Sport UK Parts Manual”. 162 pages. I have a copy if you haven’t seen it. Might be useful.
