Just ordered a Formentor V2 1.5 TSI DSG here in Cyprus a few days ago. Base price was €29,900. Added on metallic paint (€650), rearview camera (€300), and the 18 inch performance black sports rims (€500). Total price was €31,350, and I negotiated it down to €29,000. Estimated delivery is September. Curious as to what % people have been able to negotiate off the total price in different countries?
I dunno about other countries, but here in the UK very few people actually buy outright. Most buy on either pcp or pch, which is more difficult to then determine a "total cost" as it's a monthly cost based on the term, mileage, and deposit. PCH is a little easier, but the gfv is an estimate based on what the finance company thinks it'll be worth at the end of the term, factoring all that in. But the figures include interest at different rates etc.

Well I took delivery of my VZ2 310 in asphalt blue today. I ordered it on the 10th March and collected it on the 8th of April, so I obviously dropped lucky on a stock car.

It drives nice, although the hour drive home was all in traffic so I need to get out and get to know it properly.

I asked for it to be delivered with all the plastic still on and even with that it's still got a few scratches in the paintwork. They'll polish out when it gets buffed before its ceramic coating so I'm not worried, but still annoying. :(

All the tyre pressures were low so I fixed that tonight. I thought this would be part of the PDI but I guessed wrongly.

Car came with the key cover and child's bracelet, Cupra usb cable, first aid kit and the proper mats. I've got no engine cover which is very disappointing but I did manage to get a boot liner thrown in for free at the last minute (day before collection).

I had a panic with the lighting in Cupra mode as I thought it wasn't working correctly until I checked on here and found out it's supposed to be a rev counter or something. :ROFLMAO:

ACC works okay but it's very unnerving as I've never had it before and I still don't trust if it's going to actually brake.

I'm also confused by the servicing as I thought it was every year or 10,000 miles (or whatever) but mine is showing as 18,000 and 727 days. I've asked for Cupra care and it's supposed to be the first 2 services so not sure how that is going to work.

I think that's it for now but happy to answer questions if anyone has any as I think mine is supposed to be one of the newer builds with the silver badges on the back.

Congrats! Could you post some pictures of the car? Haven't seen many in asphalt blue yet.

Here you go. I gave it a quick wash and then the heavens opened so not the best pictures. I'll take some more when it's had a proper clean, polish and ceramic coating.

Wheels off and then ceramic coated with KKD Revolve Matt as well as the calipers. Wheel arches cleaned and coated also. Makes it much easier to clean in the future. :)

What’s it replaced buddy ?
The M135i. :) I'd had a mini countryman JCW on order since September, but after a couple of delaysI gave up and went for an in stock VZ2. Mini then called me to say the mini had gone in to production.:ROFLMAO: We decided to stock with the VZ2 as it's more modern looking. I'm happy with most of it, just some areas feel a bit cheap.

Are you coating it yourself? If so, what with?
I coat them myself as I just can't justify the cost of someone else doing it.

I'm trying Gyeon MOHS Syncro Evo this time around. I normally use CQuartz UK 3.0 but I thought I'd give this a go Instead. Just need to give it a full machine polish first as there's quite a few scratches unfortunately. Unsurprisingly there's a few around the petrol flap and drivers side door. All the places which have been touched. At least the dealer hadn't washed it as it could've been much worse. :ROFLMAO:

The seats have also been coated with Gyeon leather ceramic coating, carpets fabric coated, even the boot liner has been coated. It's all hard work at the start but much easier to keep clean.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the yellow one. It is actually grey underneath the wrap. I did have a look for yours last Wednesday when I was picking mine up and even said to them that you were waiting to pick yours up and she asked for your name, but I don't think they would know you as @MoreCaffeinePlease 😂 there were a few new cars still with the transport stickers around the yard, and a Graphene one parked two up from me, but it was a VZ3 with the big brakes.

Yours is very similar to mine, although I have blue leather and the DSG box.

I also have an intermittent rattle from the front passenger side, but they couldn't hear it, and since I've got it back I can hear it more now. I've also got a loud and really annoying knocking coming from the rear, which I was told was from the rear seats and the noise resonated up the side of the car and to the roof which made sense to me as that's where it sounded like it was coming from. I was told there was a TPI for it (not so sure) and had been fixed. After a few miles driving home I thought it had been fixed as it was nice and silent, then it came back and is still as it was. I called them on Thursday to let them know and no reply, so tried Friday again, and no reply. I was busy yesterday, but they still never bothered to call despite two left messages, so will be back on their case today and if no reply an e-mail will be going to the service manager and branch manager.

Since they told me it was from the rear seats, I tried myself to see if I could trace it, and drove with the seats down (which wasn't as bad), took the rear seats out, and had the seat belts plugged in just in case they were hitting the plastic trim, and no luck.

When I put the rear seats down, I did notice their technical repair - a bit of sticky insulating felt wrapped around the hinge 🤦‍♂️

Sorry for the delay - just seeing this now. That's interesting and very annoying. Mine is going back in this week - I can't pinpoint where the noise is coming from apart from somewhere in the front passenger side region. Everything under the bonnet looks OK so need to get it up on the ramps to see. I'm hearing it pretty consistently but only at lower speeds (<40pmh roughly). Seems to go away at anything faster than that. Keep me posted on how you get on.

Arnold Clark just confirmed I can collect my new Formentor on Wednesday. I asked them to check software version which is apparently showing version 1890. I informed them version 1896 is out but the senior technician claims it will only get updated if issues materialise with the infotainment system. ( Initially he claimed there was no update for my vehicle when plugged into their system ) is this true or just the usual garage fobbing off customers.

Mine is going back in next Tuesday for them to try and fix it again. I also have an intermittent noise from the front passenger side, but they couldn't hear it when it was in a couple of weeks ago, but seems to be around the A post area. I've tried pressing on everything around that area and it is all solid, so don't know where it's coming from and as it comes and goes they will just say they couldn't hear it again. Let me know if they find anything with yours. The one from the rear is the worst though. It is there all the time and actually puts me off the car at times. I'll let you know if they resolve my rattle.

That could actually be true. Mine got updated without any issue, but I had reported various faults a couple of times since I got the car, so they may only update the software if you report a common fault with it.

Frustratingly this is also what I have been told by my dealership, I am due for collection on Thursday and they informed me the same that it has come from the factory at 1890 and that the update is not available for my chassis number. It would seem Cupra release the updates in groups and not just blanket for all of the same vehicle. This would be why older models are able to get 1896 and those just coming out of the factory are unable to do so.

After reading this forum, I made the same request to my dealer.

I got the same response from JCT600 last week when I collected mine. They said mine wasn't showing as the update being available so they couldn't update it. I couldn't be bothered arguing any further so took it with 1890. So far everything seems fine.

I've had my car for a month now, came with 1890 and touch wood have no major issues- apart from the over reactive voice control which I've turned off. Have had a few instances on the motorway where the car thinks I'm coming off the slip road and the speed limit sign changes... Even does it on Google Maps so must be the CarPlay using the inbuilt car GPS rather than my phone

I picked mine up last weekend and it's got 1890, which they said was the most up to date version (but we know it's not).

My noise isn't coming from inside the car, I'm 99.9% sure. I've pressed and held everything, as you have, but it's not coming from the interior plastics or seats. I'm nowhere near as knowledgable with cars as most of the people in here so we'll see what dealership has to say. It's not just an irritating noise, it definitely sounds as if something isn't right so I'm keen to get it addressed. I'm going to ask them about the 1896 update while there but I'm not holding out hope they'll update.
