Formentor System Errors

Reading the road signs correctly, corrects the issue of it being incorrect. That's Agnes' contribution. If it misses the first sign it will stay incorrect. Generally road signs get read 99% of the time but sometime the technology doesn't always image them correctly. I think reading them gives the system a kick but why its operating in kph at that stage we don't know.

I'm planning to create document with all errors read from OBD port and send it to dealer and VWFS, to start my rejection process. The earliest errors are at 7 miles.

My car is in service today. Supposedly, they are applying patches for SOS, keyless and air con. I'm not entirely sure if the last two exist or it's just something to stop me from complaining. And patch for ACC is due in December.

I spent whole day in the office waiting for the callback only to be told, to come back tomorrow. I suggested it in the morning, that I will go home and come back next day, but was told to wait. I will take photos of software version and test everything in next couple of day.

What’s the issue with aircon Agnes?
Mine blows either massively hot then freezing, it doesn’t maintain a constant (ish) temperature

Air con is not available randomly. Whole heating system greyed out. The same with keyless, just doesn't work from time to time, usually when I have my hands full.

After being fed story how all these faults are related to 5g masts, I don't believe a word that service guy said.

Here's the list of work tasks and patches numbers.

So far, no pops from speakers and comms module is ok. I would need to do some driving, to see if other things are ok.

Can you post your software versions?

Did they explicitly say there’s an update confirmed to fix the ACC issues (I presume kph speed limits and LHD overtaking)?

As per document, this update is not available yet. It was postponed until December. I was told to check in January.

One more thing, My individual driving mode was not configured any more. I suspect it lost its settings when car was showing messages about changing configuration some time ago or when it logged me out while driving. Can't be sure when it happened, because I was using Cupra mode most of the time.

Software version changed only for Display Unit/Control Panel Software from 6069 to 6078. Everything else is the same.

Try it on the bypass to Workington. Mine switches from 70mph to 42mph on that stretch of road.

Worth seeing if the newer software does it there too.

Tried it several times and everything was fine until yesterday, then it did the old won’t overtake cars on the left but only once. Go figure than one

Hate to disappoint you but I’ve got exactly the same software versions and the popping still occurs.

The other thread to eyeball is the Leon 4 thread:

It's a common problem on VAG cars. Progress is suppose to be being made on other brands in the group. Seat / Cupra is on the list but lower down so I've read. Going to be all centrally written and rolled out to the brands.

Any update Agnes on the software upgrades?!

Sorry, nowhere to drive. It will take weeks or months to confirm it.
-------------

Nowhere to travel changed into ad hoc trip to Dorset.

SOS patch definitely works. No speaker pops or SOS errors.

Unfortunately, keyless still doesn't work every time. Locked thr car using keyless, came back in 30 minutes and couldn't unlock it. Tried virtual pedal and doors. Had to use the key. So let say 10-12 keyless locking and unlocking and 1 error.

Interested to hear this, I've had mine for 5 months now and have been waiting for someone to confirm a fix before getting mine looked at. Did your ad-hoc trip to Dorset take you past any locations that you previously had the issue? Depending on the route, I can take mine half way up the country and back without issue, but with almost certainty I can get it to lose connection to the outside world and lose GPS location when I'm driving clockwise on the M25 between J15 and J17. Most of the time it will do the same eastbound on the M4 approaching the M25, but not always.

It happens with such regularity on the M25 I've figured out exactly what happens. First the speaker pops, with the user and globe icons going out at the same time, then a few seconds later the green location LED in the headliner will flash red and then go out. A few seconds later it will either go green again, or it will go red again and the SOS error message is displayed. If it goes green and doesn't display the SOS error, a couple of minutes later the user and globe icons are normally restored. It wouldn't be so bad if you could reset the system while driving, but every time I've tried to press and hold the on/off button, when it restarts it just sits at the whirly waiting screen and never gets any further.

My three issues have been this, the km speed limit issue and the cruise control not allowing overtakes issue. Thankfully I haven't seen any of the other issues that people have been experiencing.
