Totally agree bud. So glad I finally persuaded the misses to get it. I've been after one for years.

The seats are amazing too, very comfy
Not keen on the wheels but otherwise awesome car. Am I allowed to say on here the interior looks waaay nicer than a Leon?
I'll get me coat......🧥

I think its the seats that set it off as there isn't much in it otherwise.

Everyone is different buddy

Interior is way better than my 63 plate. The improvement over the cmax is phenomenal. That had hard plastic everywhere including the arm rest and having light strips on all doors is better as well as all footwells. I do however prefer how the Leon doorcard hides the strip better and in turn projects the light. It's a bit too crisp in the Skoda

Thankfully that's true - the World would be a very boring place if we all liked the same things ;)
I have to admit I've always liked the vRS, ever since my MK1 Octy

Agreed, the VRS is a cracking motor - I like the interiors in both tbh, I test drove both cars when shopping for my current vehicle - all that swung it in favour of the Leon was it was cheaper with less miles and equivalent specs. Interior quality imo is approx the same, most of the parts are identical anyway! The VRS gets a nicer nav screen in my opinion, but again not much in it.

Hope you enjoy it anyway, loving the red with red interior accents - looks amazing!

Today I started that slippery slope of modifying it, with 2 small steps.

1 - fitted some carbon fibre splash guards.

2 - done air box mod & fitted my racingline panel filter carried over from my Golf GTD.

Cheers fella.

I got them from eBay, listed for the Cupra but meh they fit.

The only thing I would say is the listing shows them fitted behind the standard arch liner but for that to happen I think you have to cut into the arch liner (not that the listing says that!!) so I’ve fitted them on top & they still look good.

Had some 20mm spacers put on the back wheels and 15mm on the front to bring them out a bit a and make the car a bit more aggressive looking (which it should out the factory to be honest) but getting slight arch rub on the back so stepping them down to 15’s as well. I could put up with it but any speed bumps or if the car is loaded for a trip and there going to rub so not worth it long term.

Edit. Put the 15mm spacers on back and good as gold, so swapping the 20’s over for 15’s to go on the front.

Took it for a full service, mot and aircon regen. One advisory, small leak in rear shock absorber. I’ll get both rears done next time, anyone had them done before, if so how much £££?

Any pics? Where did you get your spacers from? The 15mm spacers I bought don’t fit on the rear bearing housing.

Not today but in the last week, fitted new EBC GD disks and redstuff pads to the front of my manual 2016 cupra ST, rears are on order. Also fitted OE short(er) shifter linkage part 8J0 711 046 E from darkside developments. Its only marginally shorter than stock but noticeable and when combined with the 034 solid bushes that I already had, I'm happy with the result. Watched the diesel geeks videos on how to adjust the shifter cables properly and spent a lot of time on it (airbox out - adjust, airbox in, test drive, airbox out again and repeat), end result though is a much improved gearshift and it now goes into 1st/reverse first attempt 99% of the time instead of 75% of the time, as before.
