Link for the footrest at least fella? I’ll search about for the dsg set. Ta
It was back in may and the seller has no more. Found this one, bit more than I paid though, sorry. I got mine for £13.59 as I had a £5 voucher

Cheers, I’ll hold off on the footrest considering the pedals cost about a tenner.

Are these the same fitting for mk3 dsg anyone? I presume they are. Bargain anyway from China

Sad to say that for my 1000th post I got flashed by speed camera on the M25!
Was joining it from the slip road with heavy fast moving traffic on the motorway so i booted it a bit too much and got flashed by an overhead camera just past the junction. Checked my dash cam and it shows 90mph!!!:cry::mad:
Haven't heard anything about this yet, I may be a lucky old man! I noticed today that there are no white marker lines at the location I was flashed at!

Installed the Golf 8 front suspension arm aero covers today. Not sure if it has any noticeable fuel-benefits but they were ultra-cheap and it adds a bit of the next generation to my car, which is always cool.

Part number 5wa407117&118 (left/right) and 4 plastic push rivets.

You'd be surprised how capable the whole system is

It's actually my business but I can't change my name till I've sorted things out ?
I’ve rated the standard system and totally took me by suprise. The standard system in my G30 5 series is a joke compared.
Only issue is front d/S tweeter distorts at high frequency and one or two door rattles. I’ve always usually got subs in my cars and fitted plenty.

The Xtrons headunit arrived today, all works apart from the front woofers.
The harness isn't wired to support them, so I can either have woofer or tweeter.
Very frustrating to install and now an even more frustrating return

Wow decent.
How does the sub sound anyone or what specs? It’s the only option my car is missing I think
It makes a huge improvement to the sound. I was skeptical at first but decided to take the plunge anyway. The result is much better than adding two extra items and changing a sound profile should be. It brings the music alive. One of the most noticeable changes is the Nav instructions coming from the centre speaker and being so much clearer.

Fitted this set to my dsg well worth it. Brake pedal is easy to install, tight fit with the fast pedal. Some rubber overhanging the pedal might get caught on shoes so could pop off. Little spray glue I think. Definitely feels faster lol ?

Changed oil and filter, which I've been meaning to do since May when I got it as I was never certain the garage I bought it from had changed the filter or used the right spec oil, but I've had a few other things to deal with first.

Changed pollen/cabin filter I had lying around by chance. Took 5 mins. Old one had feathers, crap off trees, hair and all sorts of guff on it. Also sorted myself out with a spare wheel and toolkit now nestled nicely.

Did a schedule of what maintenance is due all pretty much in the next few thousand miles-
Timing belt/water pump/tensioner
DSG service
Interim service
Probably AC
Probably coolant

I’ll probably go to a local vag specialist in Manchester but I could really do with that 5 year guarantee for cambelt, and 12 months breakdown through SEAT dealer.
