Had a little trip from Bath up to Manchester and back last night. Only saw one other Copra on the whole trip. Around Manchester on the motorway a white Copra overtook us and flashed the indicators and gave us a thumbs up. We drove past him and returned the gesture How great is that. Like riding a motorcycle back in the days when everybody greeted each other

I still ride a bike when not out in the Cupra, and lots of Cupra owners dont greet me when in the car.

I am hearing the anti-roll bar link rattle now almost all the time. Could be worse but definitely can be heard now. I did hit a couple of potholes hard on both sides but at 4k kilometers they shouldnt fail. Waiting eagerly for the first service now so I can report the issue and hopefully have it fixed in warranty.

I also love the waving thing, I am used to it when i drive my Jeep Wrangler TJ, Jeep drivers almost always wave or nod to each other but never met a cupra so far, only fr drivers twisting their neck.

Had the cupra now for over 500 miles and the sound has really increased, more pops and bangs on the overun and when it is pushed hard the dsg bangs are loud. Putting the seats down and turning the soundaktor off has made it much more enjoyable.

Mine seems to be waking up as well, I havent noticed any DSG farts yet, but its getting throatier. I didnt turn the soundaktor completely off, just down to 40%. It seems to give a nice growl under load.

I have loud DSG farts when shifting from first to second gear in M mode above 3.5K revs and thats the only scenario in which I have them. Also I filled my tank with 95 RON (because 98 pump was broken at petrol station) and pops and bangs are 50% quieter now, so the fuel octane number does play a role.

Mine has just over 800km and pop's & bangs on overrun are pretty loud
But i didn't notice DSG farts for now.. But i,m just going up to 4k rpm right now.

Try using the paddles and shifting at 5k+

I'm at about 17k km now (10k+ mi), and I've noticed the bangs getting especially loud when I start pushing the car.
I'll work on a new video.

I do firmly believe our sound deadening is causing the drop in perceived noise. Pulling into my work carpark after a heavy morning run in manual i got a few comments of how loud the car was..

The other halfs sister also states my car is loud when i go past her..

I'm on 1800miles and the car is a lot deeper with pops plus up-shift farts and down revs crackles pretty consistently!

Been hearing some comments about the noise as well. It seems that when the car and the exhaust are really hot, it produces quite a burble that we don't get inside.

Im on 2k now and they are getting much louder and prominent the missus and the kids have started kicking off because i drive through tyne tunnel with the windows down in sport mode

The cars done 600 miles now. It’s got a great note to it now I’ve turned the soundakator off. Only had one fart out of it but in its defence I’ve only booted it once. I’d prefer if it popped of downshift but I reckon it hasn’t been hot enough. Will keep you lot posted

I’m late to this party and am aware that the new model is due to be announced next week but I put my order in yesterday for a leased 290 Lux in Urban Silver. Hopefully hear back today on timings etc. Coming from the 150 Ibiza FR I’m a little bit excited..

As far as I know the next Cupra hasnt been announced yet, only the Leon it will be based on, so you'll still have the fatest Leon available for a good while. Last I saw the next Cupra was a hybrid with less power anyway.
