Bored after lunch so rang again hoping for more concrete news. It's gone backwards.

It is state 10, great estimated build week which I thought I already knew. Got put on hold so he could speak to the support team as the order wasn't showing an estimated build week despite the status 10.

Couple of minutes later, "No sorry sir we are unable to find out what the estimated build week is. We suggest you try ringing back at the end of the month, maybe early next month to see if there is an estimated build week. Build normally takes a week and then three weeks from that for it to be available at the dealer. From the lead times though it looks like it should be delivered around November time."

My finance cooling off period ends tomorrow, cancelling crossed my mind as I've no idea if it is November, or even December or next year.

I've been here before though when BMW were giving me the run around on an M135i order a few years ago. I ended up cancelling that an getting an ex-demo 2015 Civic Type R which in hindsight wasn't the right car for my needs at the time.
Funny I’m doing that now and waiting for an update

I'm teetering on cancelling too. This whole process has been quite a roller coster and my battlewagon is running so well, I might just stick to the least hassle option.

Cancelling or on the phone? :)

I said back then that I'd never order another new car, yet here I am.

So this is a new one!

I have gone from BW 27Th Oct to BW 7Th October Both status 10

Friday was told it’s status 00 and they would call back

Now I’m told it’s status 10 with estimated BW 5th May 2020 !!!!!

They also said my order went in on W34 which is about 24th Aug

I ordered 10th July and have in writing from dealer and my broker both separate that the factory confirmed my order July 10th

I’m on hold again because I just have a little calm rant! About wtf is going on !!

May 2020? That would be 10 months? Plus how/why are they planning build weeks so far ahead and you're in that list?!

They have confirmed that’s right but it’s an estimate and is due for Nov delivery and is not delayed lol

The guy had no clue and confirmed the order went in end of Aug which is totally not what I had been told

Now going to complain to the dealer and who I ordered through as this is a joke

Doesnt the Cupra have the same engine that is in the new GTI TCR ? 286bhp 380nm torque but VW claim 5.6seconds 0-62 and both cars weigh the same, bit bizzare why Seat claim 6secs

That’s such a joke wtf! According to my dealer I'm at 27th Oct as an unconfirmed build week but he keeps emphasising this “could move forward”. However, I don’t know what to believe anymore. Regardless of anything it seems a hell of a long time to wait for a car!!

Well part due to my procrastination and part due to me really actually wanting the car, the cooling off period on my finance agreement has now expired.

So unless I want to pay 3% of the P11d value of the car or they vary the contract (Brexit tarrif) and therefore effectively render it null and void, then I'm tied into this car and strapped into the rollercoaster of waiting for a delivery date.

Following yesterday's confusing, none committal and seemingly going backwards exchange with CS, I sent an email request via the contact form on the site. I had the auto-response, "We aim to reply within 48 hours," email but as of yet they haven't got back to me.

I still haven't even had any finance documents through from my order with leasing options which leaves me to think even more that everyone is holding off because of chance of brexit unknowns.

Why can't you cancel? I successfully cancelled my order with LO and Leaseplan last week and I signed the finance docs mid August. There is no vehicle assigned to the finance agreement.

Can I ask how you went about cancelling and were they okay about it? I signed my leaseplan documents a while ago but still considering cancelling...
Thanks!

Hang in there Loxy. As others have said I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Just for a bit of balance and some good news for a change, our Cupra is onboard Pegasus Ace, which should be docking in Sheerness sometime tonight. Then onto Grimsby where I think it will then be on it's way to D M Keiths and hopefully to us before the end of the month. This is an April order that we didn't want until after September, so bang on for us really.

Quick question for those that have already received Cupras via Leasing Options, do you still have a 14 day cooling off period to wait once the car is registered before they will deliver ? I'm hoping that's only for in-stock orders as we electronically signed papers back in April. Will be handy to know to time collection of our Arona ideally for same day.

I just told Leasing Options that given the circumstances around my order I wanted to cancel. They were fine about it, just asked me if there were any other leases that I would be interested in. They informed Leaseplan and I also sent a cancel request through my account. The processing fee refund has been sent back to me, just got to wait 3-5 working days.

The problem is that my order wasn't actually placed with SEAT until 3 weeks after I actually ordered and paid Leasing Options. Then I was informed by SEAT at the beginning of September that the earliest build date for my car was November with delivery in December, again this was the earliest date. I currently don't have a car so this made things much worse!

No contact from Seat today.
