I have had just had an email from leasing Options saying delivery is arranged for my car... *drumroll* for the 8th of April! I have asked if this can be improved as my other car goes back before then so will see what they can come back with. I'd be amazed if it takes them that long to PDI it, it is probably more that they need drivers to deliver them.

Mine was BW7 and arrived in the UK on the 28th Feb. SEAT customer services said it would be with the dealer w/c 11th March which then went to 19th March and ultimately should now be delivered tomorrow (fingers crossed). You would think in this modern hi-tech age the tracking process would be a bit slicker and they would have a customer portal so you can track progress. Perhaps I should lower my expectations :(

Funnily enough, after i posted today LO sent me an update stating car was still sat at port and dealers are working double time due to logistical issues from the storms, plus apparently shipping in as many orders before March 29th... This has taken its toll on transporters from port etc..

Funny how a car can be manufactured and shipped from Barcelona within 2 weeks, but take 3 plus to make it from port - to dealer - to customer

Exact same! Why it needs 3 odd weeks from when it touched down in UK is beyond me!

Clock watching at its best coming up!:sleepy:

I was under the impression though that they only gave you a date when it arrived at the dealer. So, assuming it is at the dealer (as it was supposed to be today or tomorrow) what is going to take another 2 weeks? They can't spend that much time doing a PDI!

I wonder if Leaseplan want them registering on the 5th of April or something.

Who said it was at dealer? LO or SEAT?

I was advised that once the dealer gets it, its roughly 7 days until delivered during which time they arrange the date.

Leasing Options. So that is why I am wondering if there is something else going on, i.e. delivery (waiting for driver/truck) or Leaseplan wanting them in the next financial year.

Odd! That makes the wait seem nonsense..

Call SEAT with your order number and ask them if its at dealer...? I found them to be ever so slightly ahead of LO and who they liaise with oddly..?

LO are asking if I can collect but are basically saying "we get given the dates by the dealer". My current car got from UK port to me quicker than this and it was late March 2017 when the 40k+ tax was coming in so everywhere was chaotic.

Just gave LO a call, they said there's a bottleneck at the port and they aren't sure if it will get to the dealer by tomorrow
They also confirmed that earliest delivery for those which have arrived at dealers is 8th April!

They couldn't give me any information on when or if I could collect the car sooner. Not getting my hopes up for a delivery tomorrow, at least that way I won't be disappointed.

Just seems very weird that they can deliver a lot of cars on the 8th but not any before. I think the funder wants them putting in after the 5th of April and they are using the dealer as an excuse.

Had an update from sinclair seat today mine is out the factory. Mental how I can track a £3 phone cover on Amazon but are pretty much fudged when it comes to a £30k car.

So looks like the issue with the 8th is delivery.

LO have confirmed my car is in York and that I can collect it on the 1st. So that is what I am doing

Congrats TomScrut, looks like you will be first of the four to pick up. LO have just confirmed my pick up for 11am on the 2nd.

Congrats to those who have arranged collection! LO have said mine is currently in transit to York and I can arrange collection from there once it arrives. The wait continues for me :thumbd:

Email LO about an update and apparently it's 'still showing for the 29th' even though correspondence the whole way through has stated the 26th.

Anyone with LO and DM Keith York had confirmation about it arriving at the dealer yet?

Car delivered yesterday! Was covered in sh*t, dirt & dust! Wasn't happy as I had emailed G2L asking if it could be cleaned (I would cover costs if needed) and was advised it was company policy for all cars to be cleaned both interior and exterior prior to being delivered (this wasn't the case with mine clearly) so after getting a valet yesterday (I'll be forwarding the receipt to G2L to reimburse) here's the new beauty...
