Just seen my first Nevada white MY19 CUPRA on the road today.

The guy pulled over and we had chat.
Was suprised at how different it looked in the flesh.

Mine still hasn't been through PDI and still has the white protection tape on. It makes a difference.

Definitely had road presence and this was a standard car without the skirts, splitters or panroof.

what do you mean? what are the changes

this is very disappointing news on the GOLF R forum i too would like to know if this effects the new cupra's

basically the post WLTP cars loose the dual injection which (as per the US market) net result is less tunability and carbon build up

Up for this post, in my opinion it would even deserve a separate topic...

Could someone with a new copper Cupra post an image of the engine so we can compare with the old CJXC engine? Or maybe confirm the engine code if you can get it?

Just had my BCA inspection today carried out at my dealership.

I wasn't present but nothing has been mentioned about charges so far.

Dealership says as long as it gets collected tomorrow as planned I'll get my CUPRA this week

October 2017 to Jan 2019... If I actually get to drive it home this week I'm stopping for a lottery ticket on the way back

Got mine today too, however I need to query it before I send it back, it didn't state LUX and I've noticed new price list started spare wheel is included and I'm paying extra

So had a few updates today - my finance docs from VWFS were sent over by the lease company, signed and returned and the delivery date set for 1st March. At first I was happy only to find another fly in the ointment... to my surprise there was a registration number on the finance docs, with a 68 in it :banghead:
Luckily I’m leasing my car not buying it or else I’d have been more upset as this wasn’t what was agreed, but after some thought I filled in the forms anyway and have applied to have my private plate fitted ready for delivery instead.

The first Seat saga continues but at least now I have a firmed up date on my calendar to look forward to lol...hopefully it’s still blue when it arrives unless that’s changed since ordering too :roflmao:

I was just as worried as you are, especially about the color chance and addition of ACC that I did after putting in the order. Luckily it all turned out perfectly fine.
Here's hoping it all works out for you as well!

Fingers crossed! Every new car I’ve ordered until now has been easy and straightforward but this one is proving anything but easy lol

Thankfully no issues with my forms, hopefully you get it sorted!

As I was driving to work today I experimented with the dsg farts for a bit, and I managed to get it to fart several times in a row. Here's how I did it:
  • Make sure the engine's hot (oil temp > 95C)
  • Get into Sport mode (may also work in Cupra, haven't tested), and gearbox in manual
  • Shift 1st to 2nd under low load (I'd say max 20% throttle) at about 3-4k rpm
If I can reproduce it again this afternoon I may just make an attempt to record it from inside the cabin.
